Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho have reached a “truce” and the midfielder will not push for a move away from Manchester United in the January transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the French midfielder has decided not to agitate for a move away from Old Trafford following the relentless speculation about his future at the club.
Pogba’s situation at Manchester United has been a constant source of speculation in recent months after he was in and out of the first team at Old Trafford last term.
His patchy form for Manchester United contributed to speculation that he could be on his way out of Old Trafford in the summer, but a move away failed to materialise.
Pogba earned lots of praise for his performances for France as he helped his country to win the World Cup in Russia in the summer months.
Now, the same report says that although Pogba still has “issues” with Mourinho, the midfielder will remain at Old Trafford until next summer at least.
The same article claims that Pogba has held talks with Mourinho and an agreement was reached for him to stay at the club for this season.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will return to Premier League action after the international break when they travel to Watford later this month.
