Michael Owen is tipping Leicester City to hold Tottenham Hotspur to a draw in Saturday’s Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium.
Spurs head into the game fresh from their 2-2 draw with Olympiakos in Greece on Wednesday night after Mauricio Pochettino’s men squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 for the second time in three games in all competitions.
The Lilywhites are currently in third place in the Premier League table after having returned to winning ways last weekend with a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace in front of their home fans.
Tottenham will now be focused on returning to winning ways in the Premier League as they bid to keep up with early pace-setters Liverpool FC.
Leicester City will also be aiming to bounce back to winning ways after their 1-0 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend.
However, former England striker Owen seems to think that a draw is the most likely result from Saturday lunchtime’s game at the King Power Stadium.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “I was slightly disappointed with Leicester’s performance at Old Trafford at the weekend even though they had the lion’s share of possession against the hosts.
“Brendan Rodgers will be looking for more of a cutting edge when Spurs are the visitors in Saturday’s early kick-off.
“Spurs eased their way past Crystal Palace after a scintillating first-half display at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, but they may have to settle for a point at the King Power in what promises to be a terrific game.”
Tottenham are aiming to try and win their first trophy under Pochettino this season after they finished fourth in the table last term and lost the Champions League final to Liverpool FC.
