Jamie Redknapp has lavished praise on Eden Hazard following his brilliant start to the season at Chelsea FC.
The Belgian playmaker has been in solid form for the west London side after having ended up staying at Chelsea FC despite the speculation about his future in the summer months.
Hazard was the star of the show for the Blues on Saturday as he hit a hat-trick to help Chelsea FC claim an impressive 4-1 win over Cardiff City in the Premier League.
That victory lifted Chelsea FC to the top of the Premier League table and left them leading the way after a 100 per cent start to the new campaign under new boss Maurizio Sarri.
Hazard, 27, has been in solid form this term and he has scored five goals and made two assists in the Premier League so far this season.
And Redknapp has delivered his verdict on how good Hazard has been in the opening few weeks of the new campaign following his stellar display against Cardiff.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Redknapp said: “If you were choosing a Premier League fantasy team right now, Eden Hazard would be first pick.
“He was unlucky not to be named player of the World Cup. Had Belgium gone all the way, I am sure he would have won that award.
“Some of the things he was doing in Russia were out of this world. I bracket him with Neymar.
“What has stopped Hazard from becoming the greatest is that he does not have the same killer instinct in front of goal as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Hazard will be expecting to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues take on PAOK in their Europa League opener on Thursday night away from home.
