Harry Kewell has described Liverpool FC’s attacking trio of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah as “frightening”.
The Reds have made a solid start to the new Premier League season under Jurgen Klopp and they have won all four of their opening four games to leave them at the top of the table heading into the international break.
Liverpool FC have earned a reputation as one of European football’s most exciting attacking sides in recent months under Klopp and Firmino, Mane and Salah have been in top form.
The trio played a key role in helping Liverpool FC to finish in fourth place in the Premier League table last season and also reach the Champions League final.
And former Reds attacker Kewell feels that the trio will strike immediate fear into opposition defenders following their brilliant form.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Kewell said: “They (Salah, Mane and Firmino) are exciting and you look at the players he (Klopp) has on the bench to come on… You look at their front three: it’s frightening.
“We always talk about Liverpool and think ‘do they need that 30 goal a season striker?’ But, for me, Firmino has been excellent, I can’t fault him. He works so hard in positions on and off the ball which is fantastic.
“Then you have Mane and Salah driving at you at any given moment and both of them seem to have a little competition with each other to see who can score the most goals. It’s just excellent.”
Liverpool FC will aim to make it five wins from five in the Premier League after the international break when the Reds travel to Tottenham Hotspur later this month.
The Merseyside outfit are still aiming to win their first trophy since Klopp’s appointment back in October 2015.
