Gary Lineker took to social media to encourage Liverpool FC fans to put Mohamed Salah back into their fantasy football teams after he scored for the Reds in their 3-0 win over Southampton on Saturday.
Salah was one of European football’s top performing players last season as he helped the Reds to finish in fourth place in the Premier League table and reach the Champions League final.
The Egypt international scored a staggering 44 goals in all competitions last season to help the Merseyside outfit enjoy a positive campaign last term despite the fact that they ended up without a trophy.
Salah netted Liverpool FC’s third goal in their 3-0 win over Southampton at Anfield on Saturday as the Reds maintained their 100 per cent start to the new campaign.
And Lineker took to social media to react as the 26-year-old netted for the Reds at the weekend.
Lineker wrote on Twitter: “Salah scores on the stroke of halftime. Get him back in your fantasy teams, folks.”
Liverpool FC will now switch their focus to League Cup affairs and their home clash against Chelsea FC at Anfield in the third round on Wednesday night.
The Reds will then prepare for their Premier League trip to Chelsea FC in the top flight next weekend as they look to try and push for the title this term.
