Chelsea Owner, Roma Abramovich is ready to sell club for £2billion
Chelsea football club supporters may not only be overwhelmed but also disgruntled by the widespread rumour about the 51-year-old billionaire placing a price tag of £2 billion on the blues.
The Russian oligarch who bought Chelsea football club with the sum of £140 million in 2003 has hired New York Bank Raine Group in the groundwork to selling off the club according to the Sunday Times.
There was a recent dispute early this year between the Chelsea owner and the UK government over the issuing of visa. He opted for Israeli citizenship in the advent of entering the UK after a political row between Russia and Britain led to the postponement of visa for prominent Russian entrepreneurs.

The blues were known by splashing money on players in bringing the much-needed transformation that saw them win total of 18 trophies, including the back to back Premier League titles under Jose Mourinho in 2004/05 after 50 years and as well becoming the first London club to win the Champions League.
However, the clubs transfer policy shows that Chelsea are currently known to be more considerate in the transfer window.
All of this put together in place makes it seems like Abramovich is ready to hand over the wheels to someone or an organization who has more interest in running the club.
