Andy Gray believes that Eden Hazard is probably the best player in the world on current form following his strong performances for Chelsea FC.
The Belgian playmaker has made a brilliant start to the new campaign under Maurizio Sarri and he has netted five goals and made two assists in five Premier League games so far this term.
Hazard was the star of the show on Saturday as he scored a hat-trick in Chelsea FC’s 4-1 win over Cardiff City to help the Blues move to the top of the Premier League table.
Chelsea FC fans will be hoping to see the playmaker continue his fine form in the coming weeks and months as the west London side aim to mount a Premier League title challenge.
Blues boss Sarri said that Hazard was probably the best player in Europe on current form following his brilliant start to the new campaign.
And former Everton man Gray has agreed with the Chelsea FC manager.
Speaking on beIN Sports, Gray said: “Hold on, the best in Europe? Doesn’t that translate into the best in the world? Tell me a player outside Europe?
“If he’s the best in Europe right now, he’s the best in the world.”
He added: “In form, probably [Hazard is], yes. Suarez? No. Messi is struggling a bit.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their Europa League opener against PAOK away from home on Thursday night.
The Blues finished in fifth place and won the FA Cup last season under Antonio Conte.
