Arsenal are ready to battle with the likes of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain to sign Celtic teenager Karamoko Dembele, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that Gunners boss Unai Emery is looking to land some younger players as he aims to usher in a “new era” at The Emirates.
According to the same story, Borussia Dortmund and a host of other Premier League clubs are the other teams interested in a move for the 16-year-old Dembele.
The same article suggests that Arsenal could move ahead of their rivals in the race to sign Dembele because of having done a deal with Celtic to land Kieran Tierney in the summer.
The teenager has had to wait for his first-team opportunities this season, but according to the same story, he is rated extremely highly by the Scottish club.
Winger Dembele also signed a new long-term deal with Celtic earlier this year.
Arsenal could well be linked with a host of new players in the lead-up to the January transfer window as Emery looks to further bolster his squad ahead of the second part of the season.
The north London side are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they eye Champions League qualification this term.
