Wes Brown has claimed that Premier League opponents are scared of coming up against Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Red Devils signed Wan-Bissaka in a £50m deal from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window to bolster their options at right-back.
Wan-Bissaka has effortlessly filled the void left by Antonio Valencia after the Ecuador international called time on his Old Trafford career in the summer.
The summer signing has excelled at right-back in the Manchester United team, quickly winning over the club’s supporters with his willingness to get stuck into opposition wingers.
Wan-Bissaka has been the standout performer of Manchester United’s three summer signings, although Welsh winger Daniel James has netted three times in four games.
Former Manchester United defender Brown spoke in glowing terms about Wan-Bissaka.
“He’s been fantastic, probably the one signing for United who has been most consistent, Brown told Paddy Power News. “He’s started every game, he’s got great athleticism and he’s good in the tackle.
“He’s come from Crystal Palace and people wondered if he’d be good enough for Manchester United and already from the first game it looks like he’s stepping up. He’s enjoying it and it’s where he wants to be.
“He’s only young, he’s level-headed and everything he’s done, tackling, tracking back has been brilliant.
“I’ve even seen some of the better players not dare to have a go at him, they’re turning back and passing it.
“That’s the sort of player he is, no one wants to take him on because he’s going to go with everything.”
Manchester United started their summer spending with the £17m addition of Swansea City winger James to add more pace to their team in wide positions.
The Red Devils made Harry Maguire the most expensive defender in the world after the England international completed a £80m switch to Manchester United from Leicester City.
Manchester United have collected five points from their opening four games in the Premier League to cast doubt on their ability to launch a top-four challenge this term.
