Charlie Nicholas is tipping Chelsea FC to be held to a frustrating 2-2 draw by Norwich City in their Premier League clash at Carrow Road on Saturday lunchtime.
The Blues head into the game looking for their first win in the Premier League under Frank Lampard since the former England international’s appointment over the summer.
Chelsea FC lost their Premier League opener 4-0 to Manchester United earlier this month and were then held to a frustrating 2-2 draw by Leicester City last weekend.
The west London club will now head to Carrow Road looking to claim their first three points of the season as Lampard looks to hoist the Blues up the table.
However, former Arsenal man Nicholas feels that Chelsea FC will not be able to pick up their first win of the season when they take on Norwich City this weekend.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “I saw Teemu Pukki at Celtic and there were suggestions he couldn’t handle playing at a big club but I am not sure about that.
“I just don’t think he got the opportunities. He played in a fairly average Celtic team and now his confidence his sky high and his movement his excellent. He looks to have more pace and he will be a real handful for Chelsea.
“This is a tough test for Chelsea. They have played some good football and have energy in attack, but the problems they have are the defence and also scoring goals.
“Kurt Zouma doesn’t seem to be the answer in defence. Antonio Rudiger will improve things when he returns but they haven’t settled and look vulnerable. The full-backs are getting opened up.
“Will Tammy Abraham get time up front? Or what about Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi? I think it will be a difficult season for Chelsea.
“Frank Lampard will be desperate to get a win but I think this will be a high-scoring draw.”
Chelsea FC lost on penalties to Liverpool FC in the Uefa Super Cup earlier this week to leave them without a competitive win under Lampard.
The former midfielder was brought in as Chelsea FC’s new manager back in July after Maurizio Sarri opted to leave Stamford Bridge and take over at Juventus.
