Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Lilywhites are keen on deals for the midfield duo this summer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
Spurs famously did not sign a single player in the summer transfer window last year, and Mauricio Pochettino will be understandably eager to bolster his squad in the coming weeks and months.
However, according to the same story, Tottenham may have to twice break their transfer record if they are to land Lo Celso and Ndombele this summer.
The same story says that Spurs have already had a £53m bid Real Betis midfielder Lo Celso, 23, turned down, but they are expected to return with an improved offer in the coming days.
The article also claims that Tottenham are “confident” that a deal can be struck to land Lyon midfielder Ndombele, 22, after having opened talks with the Ligue 1 club.
Tottenham finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season and reached the Champions League final under Pochettino.
The Lilywhites are still searching for their first major trophy under the Argentine head coach.
