Granit Xhaka has insisted that he has no plans to leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The Swiss midfielder was a regular fixture in the Arsenal team last season, scoring four goals and making two assists in 29 Premier League appearances for Unai Emery’s men.
He also made three assists in the Europa League to help the Gunners reach the final, before they ended up losing 4-1 to Chelsea FC last month.
According to Metro, Xhaka has been linked with a move to Inter Milan recently following the appointment of Antonio Conte as the Italian club’s new manager.
Indeed, the same report says that Arsenal would be willing to let Xhaka go if a bid of around €40m (£35.6m) were to be received.
However, the 26-year-old has now moved to play down the speculation about his future by insisting that he is only thinking about staying at Arsenal this summer.
Xhaka told Swiss outlet Blick when asked whether he was planning to leave Arsenal: “Not that I know.
“I have another four years on my contract, I only signed last year.
“I’m happy there, my family too. That’s the most important.”
Arsenal are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
The Gunners finished in sixth place in the Premier League table as they missed out on Champions League qualification for next term.
