Arsenal have tabled a £10.5m bid to sign Gremio defender Walter Kannemann this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.
Italian outlet Calciomercato, as quoted by the Sun, is reporting that the Gunners are keen to bolster their back-line this summer and the 28-year-old is a potential target.
The same story says that Arsenal are keen to bring in the Argentina international from Gremio this summer as they look to strengthen their options at the back.
Arsenal have been criticised for their poor defending at times this season and it is no surprise to see them be linked with reinforcements this summer.
According to the same story, Arsenal are trying to beat Sampdoria to the signature of the defender by tabling a bid right now.
The same article says that the £10.5m fee could rise if Kannemann were to hit certain performance targets.
Arsenal are bound to be linked with a number of players this summer as they look to add to their squad ahead of next season.
Before that though, they will take on Chelsea FC in the Europa League final in Baku on 29 May as they bid to end the season on a high and book their place in the Champions League for next season.
