Eden Hazard has insisted that he is not paying attention to the speculation linking him with a transfer to Real Madrid from Chelsea FC this summer.
The 28-year-old’s situation at Stamford Bridge has been a constant source of speculation in recent months as his current contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire at the end of next season.
Hazard has been in superb form for Chelsea FC this term and has bagged 16 goals and made 12 assists in the Premier League to help the Blues up into fourth place in the table.
The former Lille star has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid and that speculation has heightened in recent weeks after the Spanish club brought back Zinedine Zidane as their manager.
The playmaker was the star of the show as Chelsea FC sealed a 2-0 win over West Ham United in the Premier League on Monday night last week.
And quizzed directly about his future after the game, Hazard insisted that he is only focused on finishing the season well with Chelsea FC.
Speaking in an interview with ESPN FC, Hazard said: “I’m just focused on Chelsea.
“One month to play, top four, try to win the Europa League. For the fans I think the most important thing is when they see me on the pitch they just think that my head is with Chelsea.
“So we’ll see after.”
Hazard also underlined the importance of Chelsea FC qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
“Two years in a row not playing Champions League is hard for the players but also for the club,” he added.
“Chelsea has to play in Champions League every year, but it’s hard because we are not the only team that is trying to play Champions League.
“But that’s why we are doing everything at the moment to try and stay in the top four.”
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a crunch clash against Liverpool FC at Anfield in the top flight.
