Chelsea FC want to sign Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer if they escape their Fifa transfer ban, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the west London club are keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old holding midfielder, who currently plays for Athletico Paranaense in Brazil.
Guimaraes, who has a Spanish passport, has a release clause set at £34.5m, according to the same story.
According to the same story, Chelsea FC scouts have watched him in action in recent games and the Blues are now contemplating making an offer to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
However, it also reports that the decision on Chelsea FC’s appeal of their Fifa transfer ban will have a big bearing on their summer plans.
The story also says that Chelsea FC are continuing to negotiate with Real Madrid about the sale of Eden Hazard this summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC will return to Europa League action when they take on Slavia Prague in the quarter-finals on Thursday night.
The Blues will then travel to Anfield to take on Premier League leaders Liverpool FC on Sunday afternoon.
