Maurizio Sarri singled out Andreas Christensen for special praise after he helped Chelsea FC to keep a clean sheet in their 3-0 victory over Brighton on Wednesday night.
Goals from Olivier Giroud, Eden Hazard and Ruben Loftus-Cheek handed the west London side all three points as they continued their push for a top-four finish.
The result left Chelsea FC in fifth place in the Premier League table and level on points with fourth-placed Arsenal, having played a game more than the Gunners.
Christensen started Wednesday night’s game and played the full 90 minutes as he helped the Blues to keep an important clean sheet in the Premier League clash.
And Sarri says that he has been very impressed by the Denmark defender’s performances for the west London club in recent weeks.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Wednesday night, Sarri said: “I have to say another thing.
“We are talking about Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but I was impressed by the performance of Christensen.
“I want to speak also about him. In the last period Christensen has played five or six matches really very well.”
Christensen has been limited to just four Premier League appearances in total this season under Sarri, although he has made 10 starts in the Europa League.
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action on Monday night when they take on West Ham United at Stamford Bridge looking to keep up their bid to finish in the top four this season.
