Michael Owen is tipping Chelsea to win to nil against Cardiff City in Wales on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues will be looking to get their top-four challenge back on track with eight games left to play in the Premier League season.
Chelsea FC appeared to have turned a corner following their penalty shootout loss to Manchester City in the League Cup final last month.
The west London side managed to beat derby rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham before a 1-1 draw with Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
However, Sarri’s side slumped to their seventh Premier League defeat of the season before the international break following a 2-0 defeat at Everton.
Chelsea FC can ill-afford to drop more points with Arsenal three points clear of their London rivals in the race to secure the final Champions League qualification spot.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Chelsea FC to win to nil against Cardiff City in Wales on Sunday afternoon.
“At the start of the weekend only Fulham (6) have lost more away league games in 2019 than Chelsea who have lost four of their five on the road this year,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Maurizio Sarri’s side folded tamely after the break at Goodison Park in their last game, but they had their chances in the first 45 minutes and I don’t see them making any mistakes in south Wales on Sunday.”
Chelsea FC will take on Slavia Prague in the Europa League quarter-finals next month.
Sarri’s side could still qualify for the Champions League by virtue of winning the Europa League this term.
The Blues won the competition in their only other season in Europe’s second tier competition under Rafael Benitez in 2012-13.
