Craig Bellamy believes that Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United after his issues with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
The French midfielder has found his situation to be a constant source of speculation in recent days after he was stripped of the vice-captaincy at Old Trafford by Mourinho.
The pair were then pictured as having a frosty exchange in Manchester United training at Carrington on Wednesday morning after the Red Devils slumped to a League Cup defeat by Derby County at Old Trafford the night before.
Pogba’s situation remains a source of uncertainty, and as things stand, the midfielder’s situation is likely to be a source of speculation as the January transfer window approaches.
And former Wales star Bellamy seems to think that Pogba wants to try and force a move away from Old Trafford.
He told Sky Sports: “If it is a straightforward powerplay, there will only be one winner, and should only be one winner, and that is the manager.
“There is no player and, believe it or not, no manager bigger than the club. Nobody is bigger than Manchester United.
“It is something that has to be resolved between the two of them. United have not started great, but I see no reason why Mourinho cannot stay for the full year.
“It looks to me, from the outside that Pogba wants out. It is not working for him at Manchester United and not with this manager. All the little bits he wants out.”
Pogba will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils take on West Ham United at the London Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
The Red Devils have endured a stuttering start to the new season, and they have only won three of their opening six Premier League games to leave them eight points behind leaders Liverpool FC in the table.
