Asmir Begovic believes Eden Hazard’s ability to exploit space makes the Chelsea FC star such a dangerous player.
The Belgium international has made a scintillating start to the new Premier League season to lay down an early marker.
Hazard has scored five times in five Premier League outings to help Chelsea FC secure top spot in the Premier League table.
The Blues forward netted just his second-ever hat-trick in a 4-1 win over Cardiff City last weekend to take his tally to five goals.
Hazard was linked with a move to Champions League holders Real Madrid in the summer but a deal failed to materialise.
The 26-year-old’s best return for an individual season is 16 goals, but his manager Maurizio Sarri believes 40 goals is a more realistic target.
Hazard’s former Chelsea FC team-mate Begovic explained why the Belgian star is so difficult to defend against.
“He has consistency now. He has a really good body of work. He is right up there,” Begovic told Sky Sports.
“He’s the best player I’ve played with hands down. He can keep getting better and better.”
Hazard won the PFA player of the year award in 2015 after he fired the Blues to Premier League title glory under Jose Mourinho.
The Belgium star moved to Chelsea FC from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2012 despite being linked with Manchester City and Manchester United.
