Chris Sutton has lavished praise on Eden Hazard following the Belgian playmaker’s brilliant start to the new season in a Chelsea FC shirt.
The 27-year-old forward has begun the new campaign with a bang after having netted five goals and made two assists in his first five Premier League appearances this season.
He was the star of the show on Saturday as he scored a hat-trick to help Chelsea FC claim a dominant 4-1 win over Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge.
That win helped to lift Chelsea FC to the top of the Premier League table as they maintained their 100 per cent start under new boss Maurizio Sarri.
And Sutton seems to be convinced that Hazard is the best attacking player in Europe at the moment based on current form.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Sutton said: “Eden Hazard is without question the most in-form player in Europe.
“Lionel Messi did not meet his usual impeccable standards at the World Cup and it has taken Cristiano Ronaldo four games to get up and running at Juventus.
“After being the driving force behind Belgium’s run to the semis in Russia, Hazard has returned to Chelsea full of energy, sharpness and power.”
Chelsea FC are aiming to break back into the top four at the very least this season after they finished in fifth place and won the FA Cup under Antonio Conte last term.
The Blues will kick off their Europa League campaign on Thursday night when they take on PAOK away from home in the top flight.
