Paul Ince has been impressed with Chelsea FC’s quick progress under new boss Maurizio Sarri who has brought in a more attacking style since taking over from Antonio Conte this summer.
Chelsea FC have taken 12 points from their first four games, including a 2-0 victory yesterday over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea FC have played wonderful football so far and have scored ten goals, and Ince singled out star-player Eden Hazard as ‘world class’ who wrapped up the points against the Cherries.
He told BBC Sport: “Maurizio Sarri has brought a couple of players in and they already have hit the ground running.
“He’s enforced his philosophy and the players are that clever they have taken it on board, while West Ham and Arsenal are finding out if they have the players to play the way they want under new managers.
“Some of the football is sublime, Eden Hazard for me is world class.”
The comments will come as a welcome relief to Chelsea FC and their fans after they received what some would argue harsh criticism for their defensive displays so far this year despite taking maximum points.
They conceded numerous chances and two sloppy goals in their 3-2 win over Arsenal in August, and then last week only a late DeAndre Yedlin own goal brought them victory at Newcastle.
Sarri has proved a popular figure at Chelsea FC since joining with his attacking brand of football based on quick counter attacks mustered by new centre-mid Jorginho, who followed Sarri from Napoli in a deal that could rise to £57m.
Sarri’s maverick personality has also seen him enamoured with Chelsea FC fans whilst at points horrifying others, after reports emerged he chewed cigarettes during the opening day win at Huddersfield.
