Eden Hazard praised Chelsea FC’s patience on the way to their 2-0 home victory over Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea returned to joint-top of the Premier League after Pedro broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute after Bournemouth frustrated the hosts for most of the game.
Hazard’s second goal of the season confirmed all three points for Chelsea FC, who will have had one eye on last season’s 3-0 home defeat to the same opposition.
“We were always confident we would score,” he told BBC Sport.
“When you’re playing like that you have to be patient.
“We have a lot of players that can score any minute.
“We did well to keep the ball and move it quickly, because we were too slow in the first half.”
Chelsea have picked up maximum points so far this campaign under new boss Maurizio Sarri who took over from Antonio Conte in the summer.
Sarri joined from Napoli and was brought in to implement a more exciting brand of football than was on show under the previous regime.
Despite winning all their games so far, Chelsea FC and Sarri received criticism after their wins over Arsenal and Newcastle with defending that left a lot to be desired.
Whilst victory was the priority for Chelsea FC on Saturday, a first clean sheet in three games has come as a welcome relief for Sarri’s side.
