And he revealed on Instagram that he has been in contact with World Cup winner and former Brazil striker Ronaldo.

Abraham posted a grab of his conversation with Ronaldo with a praying hands emoji.

His caption read: “Thanks for your wise words I feel truly blessed.”

Abraham has been keen to get advice off the former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Real Madrid striker, who scored 247 career goals.

Abraham missed the opening three matches of the season as he recovers from an injury.

Chelsea have not exactly missed him though, as Maurizio Sarri’s side won all three of their opening fixtures.

Abraham scored eight goals on loan at Swansea last season, but that was not enough to save them from relegation.

He has been linked to a loan move to Aston Villa this summer, but reportedly rejected the switch in a bid to force himself into the Stamford Bridge first-team.

Meanwhile Ronaldo has been linked with a bid to purchase La Liga side Real Valladolid for £27million.
