United star player wants a pay rise – report
Reports show that the Spanish and Manchester United number one, David De Gea who is under contract at Manchester United until 2019, looks forward to renew his contract with a pay rise tantamount to the Chilean starlet, Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez who signed last season in the January transfer window as the highest paid player in the Premier league (£315,000 weekly) is currently recovering from a groin injury.
De Gea signed from Atletico Madrid under Sir Alex Ferguson in 2011 for £18 million (a British record for a goalkeeper as at that time) when he succeeded Edwin Van De Sar. More often than not, he was held by the Red Devils when offers came from top clubs including Real Madrid.

It is now very likely that He will stay, knowing fully well that the 13th time champions league winners had signed the former Chelsea goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois as an alternative number.
According to United manager in the recent week, he said:
“He is a Manchester United player and he will as soon as possible sign a new contract. “
“He likes it here, we love him. We want him to stay, he wants to stay, so when a player is not on the market the value is zero”
David De Gea so far has not been able to record any clean sheet this season but he made great saves in denying clear-cut chances and as well proved is worth as a United player.
