MANY Brits will enjoy a relaxing Monday off as a result of the upcoming bank holiday – but that doesn’t mean avoiding a trip to the shops.
Here’s what you need to know about each supermarket’s opening times – and deals – for Britain’s next bank holiday.
When is Tesco open on bank holiday Monday?
All Tesco stores will be open this bank holiday weekend, with normal hours on the Saturday and Sunday.
As a general guide, Express stores will be open as normal on the bank holiday Monday, with most larger stores open between 9am and 6pm.
Some of these big stores may open their doors at 8am, with some extending their hours to 8pm.
However, the opening times on the Monday can vary between stores, so customers are advised to check the supermarket’s Store Locator ahead of the weekend.
When is Asda open on bank holiday Monday?
Some Asda supermarkets in England and Wales will have reduced opening hours on Monday, with business as usual for Scottish stores.
But to be sure about your local supermarket’s opening hours, make sure you have a gander at the Asda store locator.
On both Saturday and Sunday Asda stores will operate normal hours.
When is Aldi open on bank holiday Monday?
Although this may vary between Aldi branches, you can expect most stores to be open from 8am to 8pm.
Just to be certain, the supermarket chain advises customers to check their store finder before heading off to the shops.
When is Sainsbury’s open on bank holiday Monday?
All Sainsbury’s stores in Scotland and Northern Ireland will be open for business as usual over the bank holiday weekend.
However, English and Welsh customers can expect changes to opening hours on the bank holiday Monday.
Stores will be open as usual on the Friday to Sunday, but trading hours may be changed on the Monday – with big variations across stores.
Because the supermarkets’ different stores will have such varied opening times, they recommend checking their store finder before you head out to get the shopping in.
When is Lidl open on bank holiday Monday?
Most Lidl stores will be open as usual throughout the bank holiday weekend.
This means that you can expect the supermarket to be open from 8am to 10pm.
However, there is a chance that your local store will have tweaked their opening hours for the long weekend.
As such, it’s a good idea to check ahead using the Lidl store finder.
When is Morrisons open on bank holiday Monday?
Morrisons stores will be open as usual on Sunday, with some stores trading at different times on Monday.
Apart from a few exceptions, most stores in England and Wales will be open from 8am to 7pm on the bank holiday.
The other stores will be open from 8am to 10pm on the Monday.
