Last week the star revealed to The Sun how he got his buff new body — by going to the gym “all day” three times a week.
Now the actor, who has played Tyrone Dobbs on the ITV soap since 1998, has admitted people have noticed his new look and shed light on it.
He said: “I’ve had a PT (personal trainer) for about four/five months. I’ve been coming to the gym for a few years now.
“I’ve transformed a little bit myself and people have seen that.
“I like to come (to the gym). I have a pre-workout meal, I work out, then I have a post-workout meal or a swim and a steam.

Alan and Lucy-Jo, 35, who plays Katy Harris, who have a four-year-old daughter together and split for good in May after nine years of marriage.
Alan had already been hitting the gym and since then stepped up his sessions.
His social media followers noticed the change, in particular a recent snap showing him grinning at a friend’s wedding while holding onto a gin and tonic.
Co-star Bhavna Limbachia, who plays Rana Nazir in Corrie, even complimented Alan and wrote next to it: “Nashers looking good!”
One fan said: “Serious transformation.”
Another added: “You look amazing,” while a third joked: “Pretty fit when you’re not gormless Tyrone.”
His transformation has inspired others on the Cobbles to get involved as he now works out with Colson Smith, 20, aka Craig Tinker.
Fans of Alan will have noticed he still likes to “play hard” and enjoy a pint or two with pals Colson and Jack P. Shepherd, 30, who plays David Platt, which they regularly show off about on Instagram.
He admitted: “I’ve brought in Colson as well.
“If you work hard you can play hard.
