Mourinho In Another Crisis With His Employers Over Martial
Things are not in good shape with José Mourinho as there seems to be ‘blood in the water’ at the Theater of Dreams.
Though the manager is yet to end his reported rift with Paul Pogba, he is in hot disagree with the club’s Vice-chairman Ed Woodward over Anthony Martial’s future.
According to Starsports, Martial is unwilling to leave Old Trafford anytime soon after failing to make his proposed move to either Tottenham or Chelsea during the summer window.
The player hasn’t been getting regular action under José Mourinho since January but he is determined to remain at the club and fight for a place in the gaffer’s starting lineup.
However, Mourinho is keen on selling him out before the close of this summer window as he claimed he is not good enough to make his match-day squad this season.
The media outlet reports that Woodward is keen on retaining the Frenchman’s services beyond this summer – against Mourinho’s desire – and that has created a heated argument between the manager and the board members
Should things continue to be in such manner at Old Trafford, Mourinho might be sacked before Christmas, just as Carragher predicted yesterday.
The off-field issues are telling on the team’s performance in recent matches as they were defeated by Brighton last Sunday after an unconvincing display against Leicester City in the first match of the season, though, they won the game by a goal margin.
